The 2014 DTA Preview Show was a huge success. Held Feb. 19 at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago, prior to the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting, the Preview Show attracted nearly 70 manufacturers who exhibited many new products and hundreds of attendees. More than 20 manufacturers were first time exhibitors at the Preview Show.
Hundreds of attendees came from all over the U.S., Canada and as far away as Russia, China, South Korea, South Africa and Latin America. These were distributors and authorized buyers looking for new manufacturing partners or private label opportunities. Because there was no large dental meeting taking place in Germany following the Chicago Midwinter Meeting, international attendance swelled in 2014, surpassing expectations. Many exhibitors were extremely pleased with the new contacts they made at the Preview Show and indicated they planned to return in 2015.
For many companies, the business-to-business Preview Show is the highlight of Chicago. A large number of exhibitors have stopped exhibiting at the larger dental meeting exhibitions and rely on the Preview Show to create new distributor leads or to cement old relationships.
