The DTA is governed by a Board of Directors that is elected by the membership. The Board consists of members representing distributors, dental laboratories and manufacturers. The Board has several committees including the Executive Committee, Nominating Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, Audit Committee, and the Government Relations Committee.

Officers of the Board serve terms of one year. Terms of office take effect at the Annual Meeting.
