Collective Exhibits

Worldwide opportunities for increasing your bottom line

DTA members exhibit as a group at international dental shows, including the IDS Meeting in Cologne, the IDEM show in Singapore, the Milan DentalExpo and the FDI Meeting. Companies exhibiting at these shows receive premium booth locations, translators for the meeting, and an enhanced DTA/North American presence on the show floor.

Reclaim Your Value Added Tax (VAT) from IDS and Travel to Germany

Dear IDS Exhibitor and IDS Traveler:

When traveling in Europe, non–residents pay a value added tax (VAT) or a goods and services tax. In Germany, visitors paid a 19% VAT while visiting the IDS Meeting in Cologne recently.

DTA has arranged through a third party vendor to reclaim your VAT taxes on your travel, lodging, meals, gifts and incidentals. Here is a form provided by JSP–Oficenter ( a Cologne based vendor) that helps companies and individuals recapture the VAT for a small fee. The form clearly outlines the fees.

Companies need to submit their receipts with the VAT information clearly marked on the receipts. Companies also need to have their company name or logo printed or attached to each receipt. DTA negotiated an additional 5% discount off the processing fees.

You are welcome to contact DTA or Mr. Jens U.H. Schweitzer of JSP OfiCenter directly with questions about this form and the process of reimbursement. E-mail VAT@JSP.DE or telephone (+49) 221-88 16 88.

Members pay no money or fees up front. Fees are deducted from the recapture of VAT. (You did not have to exhibit to qualify to recapture VAT)

Thank you,

FRED FREEDMAN

The FDI's World Dental Congress is one of the world's leading annual dental events and a prime international meeting point for leaders and key decision makers in the dental profession, industry and trade.

In 2009, after 19 years, FDI will return to Singapore to host the 2009 FDI Annual World Dental Congress in collaboration with the Singapore Dental Association. The Scientific Programme in Singapore will be "Advancing Dentistry at the Crossroads of the World", where speakers from all parts of the globe will present courses on the most recent clinical and scientific advancements affecting the dental profession. Singapore is a hub for global education and also provides generous funding and ample facilities to many leading institutes involved in cutting-edge clinical and life sciences research. The universities in Singapore continue to be ranked among the best in the world. Singapore is recognized as Southeast Asia’s number one location for international trade and exhibitions. 2009 FDI Singapore booth graphic.

The World Dental Parliament will bring its unequalled gathering of more than 190 national and international members, who in turn represent some 900,000 dentists worldwide, to FDI Singapore 2009. The exhibition will run parallel to the scientific program, all under one roof, and promises to be the largest held in the region.

If you are determined to carve out your share of the international dental business this region has to offer, consider joining the "U.S. International Pavilion" sponsored by the DTA, which Kallman Associates is organizing at FDI Singapore 2009. The booth package includes the following:
