The DTA's World Dental Trade Conference was a tremendous success. Attendees rated speakers extremely high and were very pleased with the valuable information they garnered from the conference. The program provided a review of critical issues in science and in population changes that will affect the dental industry and health care in general for years to come.

Dr. Jackson Brown, head of the American Dental Association's Health Policy Resources Center, provided a statistical overview of dentists in the U. S.

Profiles of dentists and predictions regarding future supply of dentists were provided by Dr. Eric Solomon from Texas A & M Health Science Center.

Dr. Gene Sekiguchi shared information on characteristics and trends in the Asian dentist population.

Dr. Robin Daniels, President of the National Dental Association, gave participants information on the African-American dentist.

Dr. Ernest Garcia, President of the Hispanic Dental Association, discussed the growing Hispanic dental workforce.

Gary Price, DTA CEO, wrapped up the conference.
