On April 24th and 25th, more than 30 DTA members and staff met with Congressional representatives in Washington, D.C. to voice concern about two issues affecting every dental manufacturer and supplier: the medical device tax and Sunshine Act.
Young Leaders Set Sail for Success
On May 4th, 2012, DTA's Young Leadership Group hosted an evening cruise around Newport Harbor. Surrounded by blue waters and breathtaking views, members had the opportunity to take a break from the CDA Spring Session to network with their peers. This sort of relaxed atmosphere has become a hallmark of Young Leadership events and members are starting to take notice. As group co-chair Daryl Klein noted, "This might have been our greatest event." He went on to say, "There were some new faces there, which made it really worthwhile from a networking perspective."
Members can look forward to future networking opportunities with the Young Leadership Group. In October, they will be sponsoring a tour of Alcatraz Prison during the ADA Annual Meeting. Those interested in attending or joining the Younger Leadership should contact DTA.

Members can now make online reservations at the Silverado Resort & Spa for the 2012 Annual Meeting. DTA has negotiated a special rate of $240 per night plus a $20 resort fee. Members must act before September 27, 2012 to get this special rate.
