Exhibits Group

Activities

The Exhibits Group focuses on all issues pertaining to trade show activities.

  • Trade Show Planning: The group communicates regularly with organizers of the world’s largest dental meetings to create special opportunities for DTA members and to address practical issues such as drayage, costs, show attendance, foot traffic, buying on the exhibit floor and available amenities.
  • National Dentists Survey: The group periodically conducts a national survey of dentists in order to better understand their attitudes about dental meetings, travel, obtaining CE, learning about new technologies, etc.
  • Trade Show Metrics: The Exhibits Group advocates adopting reliable exhibition metrics based on the number of dentists visiting the trade show floor, the average length of time a dentist remains on the show floor, sales numbers and leads generated.  They review new tools to better evaluate the largest trade shows and develop and use more reliable benchmarks for evaluating each meeting.
  • Meetings: The group meets in February in Chicago at the CDS Midwinter Meeting, in May at the CDA Meeting in Anaheim, California, in October at the ADA Annual Session, and in November at the Greater New York Dental Meeting in New York City.
