Optional Activities

In addition to our amazing speaker line-up, the DTA Annual Meeting offers a number of optional activities for an additional fee. Whether you are interested in connecting with other attendees or just looking to have some fun in the sun, these events will enable you to make the most of your time! All of these optional activities are available as add-ons to your Annual Meeting registration.

Note: All attendees must be registered for the DTA Annual Meeting to participate in these events.


Women in Business Program

Date: Monday, November 4th, 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
          Tuesday, November 5th, 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Cost: $225 per person (includes Monday dinner, Tuesday breakfast, and program activities).

Plan to arrive a day early to participate in the annual Women in Business event. It is a valuable time to connect with industry colleagues for an engaging program combined with a lot of fun! This event is open to women in leadership roles within the dental industry, as well as women who are "rising stars".

Dinner and Learning to Salsa Dance!
One, Two, Cha Cha Cha! Take a lesson from our Salsa Dancing pros, and learn the steps to this fun and fast-paced dance genre. Our trained dancers specialize in a plethora of dance styles and will get the crowd up and moving for this fun evening activity. Bring your dancing shoes!

Breakfast with Speaker: Linda Niessen, DMD, MPH, MPP
Dr. Niessen's career has spanned the dental profession, public health, academics, and the dental trade industry incorporating her passion of identifying programs, models and partnerships that improve the oral health of the public. She is currently the Dean of Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine and served as VP, Chief Clinical Officer for DENTSPLY International, and Professor and Chair of the Dept. of Public Health Science at Texas A&M University, Baylor College of Dentistry.  

 

 


Sunrise Yoga

Date: Wednesday, November 6th, 6:00 AM - 7:00 AM
          Thursday, November 7th, 6:00 AM - 7:00 AM
Cost: Complimentary (includes yoga mats)

Yoga is an ancient discipline in which the practice of postures enhances flexibility, strength, and inner awareness. Drop in and participate as your morning schedule allows. All skill levels are welcome to participate. 


Golf Tournament

Date: Wednesday, November 6th, 12:00 PM - 5:45 PM 
Cost (Golf): $250 per golfer (includes boxed lunch and "19th Hole" refreshments)
Cost (Clubs): $65 per club rental, if needed

The Tournament will be played on the Miller course, originally designed by renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones, Sr. The Miller course has been re-imagined by famous golf icon Raymond Floyd, and has hosted numerous South Florida PGA and LPGA championships.  


Little Havana Food & Walking Tour

Date: Wednesday, November 6th, 12:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Cost: $135 per person (includes transportation, tour, and food)

Immerse yourself in vibrant and historic Little Havana. Stroll through the rustic village and learn the art of cigar-rolling, visit the studio of a local artist, and witness the fierce competitions at Domino Park. The group will stop at several eateries along the way, so bring your appetite for some authentic Cuban cuisine! 


"Wynwood Walls" Themed Dinner Event

Date: Wednesday, November 6th, 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM
Cost: $165 per person

Get a taste of Miami's famous Wynwood Walls graffiti and street art district without leaving the hotel! Celebrate the world's greatest artists, from all around the globe working in the graffiti and street art genre during this themed dinner.
