Shifts in demand, regional variability, and seasonal timing for dental procedures can all have major implications on dental product sales that are not readily evident from traditional sales tracking and analysis. To provide insight on this data source as an analytics tool, DTA is hosting the 2017 Future Trends Forum: Dental Procedure Claims Data: What it Means for Your Business on Wednesday, Feb. 22th at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place prior to the start of the Chicago Midwinter Meeting. This program will present procedure data collected from major dental service payer organizations, tracked and analysed by DentalMarketIQ, to highlight trends in the numbers and types of procedures being provided in U.S. dental offices. Attendees will gain insights on how these procedure trends can influence sales demand and will be introduced to a new analytic reporting tool that can increase their understanding of market trends that are occurring chairside across the U.S.

The FDI World Congress is a multi-disciplinary event featuring the most outstanding national and international experts from the main dental fields from Aug. 29 to Sept. 1, 2017. It includes custom practical workshops, is certified by the ADA and offers continuing education credits and will also feature a complete commercial exhibition with the presence of the sector industry which will showcase the latest technological developments at the Congress.
“In my opinion, it is the most important dental event in the decade and we’re convinced it will be complete success,” said the Chairman of the General Dental Council in Spain, Óscar Castro Reino. “We will have approximately 350 brands and state-of-the-art companies from around the world in the 7,000 square meters of exhibit space.”
Annual sales of dental equipment in Spain are well in excess of 65 million Euro, while growth in the dental market is estimated at 2 percent per year. Also, according to 2016 statistics by Eurostat, of the approximately 330,000 practicing dentists in Europe, nearly one-tenth are in Spain (32,429), making it the continent’s fourth largest dental market.
