Networking with industry peers is an excellent way to create new opportunities for your business. The DTA Emerging Leaders group brings together up-and-coming and current executives from all corners of the dental industry and allows them to discuss and share relevant industry news and experiences in a casual environment.
DTA’s Emerging Leaders took up the challenge of learning to make their own pizza while networking at an evening event during the Greater New York Dental Meeting. Aprons at the ready, a large group (with lots of new faces) turned up their sleeves and rolled out the dough at a Times Square Hotel specially prepared for many new certified pizza chefs. Emerging Leaders Co-Chair Daryl Klein helped lead the group through the prep, bake and team building exercises. Everyone had a great time and didn’t want the networking event to end.
DTA’s Emerging Leaders took advantage of the gorgeous spring California weather with a relaxed get-together poolside at the Anaheim Hilton -- the perfect networking opportunity to cap off the first full day of meetings at the CDA Meeting in Anaheim. This event fostered an opportunity for up-and-coming leaders to exchange business cards, make new industry contacts and enjoy the evening together.
More than 40 DTA members and prospective members met for the first DTA Emerging Leaders event of 2017 held at the Kimpton Gray Hotel’s Robey Room in Chicago during the Chicago Midwinter Meeting. The event gave members and prospective members the chance to relax and network after a long day of selling at their exhibit booth at the busy McCormick Center. Hot topics included the Chicago Midwinter Meeting, the upcoming IDS Meeting in Cologne and the DTA Washington Conference in April.
“It was a great mix of individuals from large and small manufacturing, distributors and laboratories,” said DTA’s Fred Freedman. “This was a nice preliminary get together before the big IDS Meeting in Cologne Germany in mid–March. Individuals had an opportunity to talk about Cologne and to make some initial plans to get together in Cologne or answer questions about the IDS Meeting for those that have never attended the IDS Meeting before.”
In attendance were five new DTA Member Companies that had not previously attended an Emerging Leaders event. Members are already making plans to connect again on Thursday, May 4th for drinks and snacks at the Anaheim Hilton on the pool deck area at the close of the exhibition during the California Dental Association Spring Session in Anaheim, California.
The Emerging Leaders gathered under blue skies at the CDA Meeting in Anaheim. A large group of manufacturers, distributors and dental media representatives were on hand to meet, greet and to enjoy some light industry networking. Co–chairs Nicolle Campion and Nichol Schreiber welcomed the Emerging Leaders to the Anaheim Hilton outdoor patio for a Happy Hour Mixer, at the close of the first day of the exhibition. The group enjoyed the great California weather and an opportunity to connect after a busy day at the Orange County Convention Center.
DTA’s Emerging Leaders visited Oak + Char, one of Chicago’s trendiest farm-to-table eateries, for refreshments and networking on Thursday, Feb 25th during the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting. The group consisting of up-and-coming industry leaders was joined this year by several new and prospective DTA Members, offering a unique networking opportunity for those in attendance. The Emerging Leaders also welcomed some DTA board members including Eric Shirley, DTA Board Chairman, as well as DTA President and CEO, Gary Price.
“This is so much fun, cooking and eating at De Gustibus!” one attendee texted back to their colleagues. In keeping with Thanksgiving themes of food and fun on November 30, DTA’s Emerging Leaders gathered at the De Gustibus Cooking School in New York’s Herald Square for a night of great food, drink and to watch a celebrity chef at work. New York chef Michael Ferraro (Delicatessen and macbar) prepared a four course meal while interactively instructing the group through the preparation of each course.
DTA’s Emerging Leaders gathered for a Pacific Harbor Cruise during the recent California Dental Association Spring Sessions in Anaheim. The event provided them with the opportunity to enjoy great networking. DTA Chairman of the Board, Michael Augins (pictured here with DTA Emerging Leader Co–Chairman, Nicolle Campion) joined in the event to share his experiences in the dental industry and encourage greater involvement in the DTA.
The Emerging Leaders’ wine tasting event was well attended and offered a relaxed networking opportunity after a long day on the show floor at McCormick Place. Attendees learned about wine pairings from Midmark Corporation‘s Director of Guest Services and trained sommelier, Todd Dammeyer, followed by mingling with fellow colleagues in the dental trade. The Emerging Leaders reached “new heights” when they traveled up the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway to experience amazing vistas above Palm Desert and Chino Canyon during the 2014 DTA Annual Meeting in Indian Wells, CA.
