Can I submit more than one preliminary proposal summary?
Yes, you can submit different proposal summaries for different projects managed by the same organization.  

Does the principal organization have to be a 501(c)(3)?
No, it can be a 501(c)(3), 501(c)(6), 509(a), a university, or a government agency.  The applicant must provide an IRS determination letter proving their tax-exempt status along with their application if they are invited to submit a full application. 

If I have received a grant in the past, can I apply again for another project?

The preliminary proposal summary deadline is Wednesday, February 13. What time on the 13th?

Can I get an extension?

If I miss the preliminary proposal summary deadline in February, can I still submit an application?

What is your policy on funding indirect costs? 
The Foundation does not provide funds for indirect costs, endowments/fundraising campaigns.   Funding to support staffing should be for new personnel required to accomplish the goals of the project not to fund current personnel’s salary.

Do you have a budget template that should be used?
Yes, the budget template will be provided directly to organizations that have been invited to submit a full grant application.

Who should complete the proposal summary form?
Whoever makes the most sense for your organization, that may be potential principal applicant, project manager, etc.

Can the grant funds be used to reimburse a program retroactively?
No, the funds should be applied for future use.

What is the funding period?  
October 2019 through December 2020. Your final project report will be due March 31, 2021.
