“For years, as my grandfather's Alzheimer's Disease progressed, his only dental care was a nightly brushing from my dad or me. These populations, who are unable to seek care or lack access to care, seem to often be forgotten. I strongly believe that it's our responsibility as health care providers to seek these people out by offering our services in unconventional places, times, and through welcoming activities,” said Pittel.
